New spring fling: girls ask guys

Girls ask the guys.  This is the phenomenon people have been whispering about.  A Sadie Hawkins dance, here at our very own JC.  How cool would that be?

Traditionally, a Sadie Hawkins dance is where the asking of a date is done by the girls.  Maybe some of you disagree and think that would be a waste, but personally I would love for our school to have a dance like this.

Not only is it another excuse to have a dance, but girls can break out of their habit of waiting for so-and-so to ask them, and just ask their dream boy themselves.

Growing up, girls seem to be more outgoing when it comes to the whole dating scene.   However, by high school that situation has changed.  Now there is no excuse for the whole “tell your friend’s friend to ask me” from all the girls.  They can ask who they want themselves.

The SAC has taken the idea of having this dance into consideration, but has not yet made an announcement about it.  A lot of public schools have Sadie Hawkins Dances and pull it off successfully.  So why couldn’t we?
