Student proposes alternate “Gold” approach

The only thing the “Gold” program has done is provide the students with an extra source of annoying amusement in the form of a pen with a spinning ball.  Isn’t it ironic that students are scribbling out the “not” on the “students do not drink” part of the signs with those very same “Gold” pens?  The students are spitting in the face of the program, and the poor members of “Gold” are now falsely dubbed “narcs.”  The best solution to showing real school standards is properly educating students about alcohol abuse through health classes that are taken for more than a semester.  This way, students are given the unbiased facts, and if this doesn’t work, they’ll find out the hard way.
