Daniel Gallen – Editor in Chief

Daniel Gallen is the Editor in Chief of “The Patriot” for the 2009-2010 school year, guiding the paper “into the new” with its online edition. Gallen spent the 2008-2009 school year as the paper’s Managing Editor.  Besides doing the newspaper, he is a member of the cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track teams, along with being a member of the National Honor Society.  He can be reached for questions or comments at dgallen@jcpatriot.com.

Kate Froehlich – Executive Editor

Kate Froehlich is the Executive Editor of the Patriot. This is her second year on the paper, working as a copy editor last year. Froehlich is a varsity cheerleader, member of the National Honor Society, SAC, and Green Team. She can be reached at kfroehlich@jcpatriot.com.

Joey Hoff – Managing Editor

Jenny Hottle – Managing Editor

Jenny Hottle is a Managing Editor for “The Patriot.”   This is her second year taking journalism and her first year working on the newspaper.  She also plays on the varsity volleyball team, enjoys speaking Spanish, and is a member of the National Honor Society.  Hottle can be reached for questions or comments at jhottle@jcpatriot.com.

Allison Siegel – Managing Editor

Allison Siegel is a Managing Editor for “The Patriot.”  This is Allison’s second year taking journalism and her first year as a member of the Patriot staff.  Allison is also a member of the Varsity field hockey team and a member of the lacrosse team.  Allison participates in the school’s pit orchestra and is a member of the John Carroll String Quartet.  She looks forward to being inducted into the National Honors Society.  Allison can be reached for questions or comments at asiegel@jcpatriot.com.

Allison Walczyk – Managing Editor

Allison Walczyk is a managing editor of the Patriot. This is her first year on the paper, however she took the journalism class last year. Alex Dunn – News Editor

Alex Dunn is the News Editor for “The Patriot” for the 2009-2012 school year. This is her first year on the Patriot Staff. Collin Hoofnagle – News Editor

Katie Clarke – Features Editor

Katie Clarke has been a member of the Patriot staff for two years and this year is her second year as a Features Editor. Aside from being a part of the newspaper staff, she has been Editor-in-Chief of the literary-art magazine, The Pinnacle, for 2 years and a member of the National Honor Society.  Clarke also enjoys learning foreign languages and has participated in the Spanish Exchange for 3 years. Taylor Schafer – Features Editor

Elizabeth Tauber – In-Depth Editor

Elizabeth Tauber is working on the In-Depth section of “The Patriot.”  This is her second year taking journalism and her first year working on the paper.  Tauber likes to run and has been running for John Carroll for three years. Rachel Kokoska is the sports editor for “The Patriot” for the 2009 – 2010 school year.  As well as the paper, she is a member of the outdoor track and swim team. Rachel also is involved in the stage crew for the school plays. Nicky Hatzidimitriou is the Production Manager for “The Patriot” this year, collaborating with TV Production to broadcast Patriot news on film. This is her first year working on the newspaper.
