The economy’s tough, but we all still want vacation. Save gas and money by staying close to home but still being far enough away. These five east coast spots are definitely worth your time:
1. Ocean City, MD. Is Thrashers worth the three hour drive? You bet it is.
2. Washington DC. Check out the Arlington National Cemetery. It is a genuinely moving monument that every American should see.
3. Hershey Park, PA. See how many punches a minimum-wage mascot can take before crying! Or you can just, you know, ride the rides or something.
4. Inner Harbor, MD. Can a duck boat really go on land AND in water? It is your obligation, no, your mission to find out!
5. Philadelphia, PA. Check out the Mural Arts Program, which commissions convicted graffiti artists to create huge city murals. While admiring the art, be sure to get a Pat’s King of Steaks cheese steak. It is THE thing to eat in Philadelphia.
